Registering a New Record in the
Southwest Ohio YMCA Swim League

Registering a new record, or correcting an old record, requires that proof of that record be submitted to the League Records Chairman. To qualify for a League record the time must be achieved at a YMCA sponsored closed inter-League meet or at a YMCA sanctioned meet.

Records set at League Championship meets will be automatically registered and will not require proof to be submitted. The meets include Short Course "A", and "AA" Championships, and Long Course Championships.

For ALL other meets, including "Zone" and "National" Championships, the proof must consist of a copy of the results from the meet at which the record was set, with the record circled. A single page from the results will suffice if it contains the meet name, the meet location, the meet date, the event name, the swimmer's name, and the swimmer's final time. If not, then provide sufficient pages to do so.

If electronic timing was NOT used at the meet, then all of the information in the preceding paragraph, plus the lane timer's slip with three (3) watch times and the referee's or meet director's signature, must be provided.

To register a new record, mail proof of the record to:

David H. Murray
League Records Chairman
2663 Greenside Drive

Include a self addressed, stamped, envelope if you wish to receive return confirmation of the record.
